Sharon and Cameron lost their 16-year-old son, Danny, to suicide just one month before his 17th birthday. His death came as a complete shock, with no visible signs of distress. The couple had already endured the tragic loss of their first son, who was killed in a car accident at the age of four, and had worked hard to give Danny a happy, stable life.

The aftermath of Danny’s death left Sharon and Cameron overwhelmed with grief, guilt, and unanswered questions. Sharon initially struggled to leave her bed and engage with the world, while Cameron sought refuge in work.
